Helleborus orientalis 'ViV Paula'
Helleborus orientalis 'ViV Paula' is a striking evergreen perennial producing large single flowers in rich dusky-pink to dark pink shades. The blooms are held on deep reddish stems and feature contrasting pale green and creamy-yellow centres, creating an elegant winter and early spring display.
The flowers are produced generously above glossy dark green foliage and retain their colour well as they mature. 'ViV Paula' is particularly effective in shaded borders, woodland-style planting and containers, where its strong flower colour provides welcome seasonal interest.
Hardy, long lived and easy to grow, 'ViV Paula' performs best in partial shade in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Remove faded, damaged or dead foliage as the flowers emerge and cut back spent flower stems after flowering.
