Helleborus orientalis 'Lucrezia'
Helleborus orientalis 'Lucrezia' is an elegant evergreen perennial producing distinctive lime-green flowers with striking yellow-lime anemone centres. The unusual colouring creates a fresh, sophisticated display from late winter into spring, bringing interest to shaded areas when relatively few other plants are in bloom.
The flowers rise above lush evergreen foliage, which forms an attractive mound and provides valuable structure and texture throughout the year. 'Lucrezia' is particularly effective in woodland-style planting, shaded borders and decorative containers.
Hardy, long lived and easy to grow, 'Lucrezia' performs best in partial shade in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Remove faded, damaged or dead foliage as the flowers emerge and cut back spent flower stems after flowering to keep the plant looking tidy.
