Genista lydia
Genista lydia is a low-growing, spreading shrub that forms a dense carpet of slender grey-green stems with small, lance-shaped leaves. As the season progresses, the foliage takes on yellow tones before falling in autumn, adding subtle seasonal interest.
In late spring and early summer, the plant becomes smothered in a mass of bright golden-yellow, pea-shaped flowers, creating a striking display that covers the entire plant. Ideal for ground cover, banks, or the front of borders, it also performs well in larger containers for patios and terraces.
