Fenestraria aurantiaca
Fenestraria aurantiaca is a fascinating compact succulent with clusters of fleshy, upright leaves, each tipped with a translucent 'window' that allows light into the leaf. Its unusual finger-like foliage forms neat clumps and may be joined by cheerful yellow to golden-orange, daisy-like flowers, creating a distinctive display.
Perfect for a sunny windowsill, succulent collection or small decorative pot, Fenestraria aurantiaca thrives in plenty of bright light and needs very little water. Its unusual shape and compact size make it an excellent choice for anyone looking for something a little different for a bright, dry indoor space.

Fenestraria Care Sheet
Light: Place in very bright light with some direct sunlight. A sunny windowsill is ideal.
Water: Water sparingly and allow the compost to dry thoroughly between watering. Reduce watering considerably during periods of slower growth and never leave the plant sitting in water.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a very free-draining cactus and succulent compost. Feed sparingly with a cactus fertiliser during active growth.
Humidity: Prefers dry conditions and normal indoor humidity. Avoid humid rooms and misting.
Pruning and propagation: Remove old or dried leaves and spent flowers as required. Mature clumps can be carefully divided, or plants can be grown from seed.
