Fatsia polycarpa 'Needham's Lace'
Fatsia 'Needham's Lace' is a distinctive evergreen shrub prized for its exceptionally finely cut, deeply divided green foliage. The narrow, finger-like lobes give the leaves an elegant, lacy appearance and create a lighter, more refined texture than the familiar Fatsia japonica.
Clusters of creamy-white flowers appear on branching stems, adding seasonal interest above the architectural foliage. These are followed by dark berries, providing further interest and helping to extend the display beyond the flowering period.
Ideal for sheltered borders, woodland-style gardens and exotic planting schemes, 'Needham's Lace' performs particularly well in partial shade and moist but well-drained soil. Its evergreen foliage provides year-round structure and makes an excellent contrast to ferns, Hostas and other shade-loving plants.
