Euonymus alatus
Euonymus alatus is a spectacular deciduous shrub renowned for its dramatic autumn colour. Its fresh green foliage transforms into brilliant shades of crimson and scarlet as the season progresses, creating one of the most striking autumn displays of any garden shrub.
Forming a dense, bushy shape, it develops distinctive corky, winged stems that become especially noticeable once the leaves have fallen, providing valuable winter structure and interest.
