Eryngium planum 'Blue Cap' is a striking perennial known for its steely blue, thistle-like flower heads surrounded by spiky bracts. Held on branched, upright stems above silvery-green foliage, the flowers create strong architectural interest and a cool-toned contrast in sunny borders.
Flowering from mid to late summer, this drought tolerant plant thrives in full sun and free-draining soil. Ideal for gravel gardens, coastal planting and wildlife-friendly borders, it is also excellent for cutting and drying, with the distinctive blooms lasting well in floral arrangements.
