Edgeworthia chrysantha 'Grandiflora' 3L

Edgeworthia chrysantha 'Grandiflora'

Edgeworthia 'Grandiflora' is a deciduous shrub producing rounded clusters of fragrant yellow flowers on bare stems from late winter into early spring. Silky, silver buds open into golden blooms before the large green leaves emerge.

Its gently spreading, umbrella-like shape brings structure to borders and woodland-style gardens, while the lush summer foliage adds texture. Plant near a path or seating area where the fragrance can be enjoyed, or grow in a generous patio container in a sheltered position.

Grow in full sun or partial shade in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil. Choose a warm position protected from cold winds and severe frost, which can damage the flower buds. Water during dry spells and avoid unnecessary pruning.
