Echinacea purpurea 'White Swan'
Echinacea purpurea 'White Swan' is a compact and elegant perennial producing large, daisy-like white flowers with prominent golden-yellow to bronze central cones. The crisp white petals create a fresh, luminous display from midsummer into early autumn.
Its upright flowers are highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects, making 'White Swan' a valuable addition to wildlife-friendly planting. The sturdy stems also make the blooms suitable for cutting and displaying indoors.
Best grown in full sun in well-drained soil, 'White Swan' works particularly well in cottage gardens, mixed perennial borders and naturalistic planting schemes. Deadheading will encourage further flowering, while leaving some seed heads in autumn provides additional winter interest.
