Diervilla 'Magical Green Dragon'
Diervilla 'Magical Green Dragon' is a compact, bushy deciduous shrub with attractive foliage that changes colour as the season progresses. Young shoots emerge rich orange-brown before developing into healthy, dark green oval leaves, creating an attractive contrast throughout the growing season.
Clusters of light yellow flowers appear in summer and are particularly attractive to bees and other pollinating insects. Once flowering has finished, decorative seed pods provide further interest and extend the plant's ornamental value later into the season.
Hardy and easy to grow, 'Magical Green Dragon' is well suited to mixed borders, wildlife-friendly planting and mass planting schemes. Its compact, well-branched habit makes it useful in smaller spaces, while producing very few underground runners compared with some other Diervilla.
