Dicentra 'Red Fountain' is a compact and free-flowering Bleeding Heart that produces masses of vivid bright red flowers over an exceptionally long season. The elegant blooms are carried above finely divided blue-grey foliage, creating a striking contrast that adds colour and texture to borders and containers.
Forming a neat mound of attractive fern-like foliage, this compact variety is ideal for smaller gardens, patio containers and the front of borders. Flowering from spring well into late summer, it provides a much longer display than many traditional bleeding hearts, making it a valuable addition to mixed planting schemes.
