Dianthus 'It Girl'
Dianthus 'It Girl' is a compact evergreen perennial forming a neat mound of narrow grey-green foliage. It provides a tidy, architectural base for its colourful flowers and is particularly effective in smaller garden spaces.
Masses of fragrant bright pink flowers with softly ruffled, paler picotee edges are produced through summer. The clove-scented blooms attract bees, butterflies and moths and are also suitable for small cut-flower arrangements.
Grow in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil, avoiding winter waterlogging. Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering and keep the plant looking fresh.
