Dianthus 'Cherry Burst'
Dianthus 'Cherry Burst' is a compact evergreen perennial producing striking single flowers with a bold maroon eye that softly bleeds into lighter pink towards the petal edges. The vivid blooms stand out beautifully above neat mounds of slender grey-green foliage.
Sweetly scented flowers are complemented by attractive dark chocolate-coloured buds, adding interest even before the blooms open. Its low, tidy habit makes 'Cherry Burst' particularly well suited to rockeries, gravel gardens, edging and patio containers.
Best grown in full sun and well-drained soil, this hardy Dianthus performs especially well in sunny, free-draining positions. Regular deadheading will help encourage a longer flowering display through the season.
