Deschampsia cespitosa 'Pixie Fountain'
Deschampsia cespitosa 'Pixie Fountain' is a compact, clump-forming ornamental grass with slender, dark grey-green leaves that create a neat mound of fine-textured foliage. Its graceful habit provides structure and movement throughout the garden.
During summer, elegant arching panicles rise above the foliage, carrying masses of glistening creamy-white flower spikelets. As the season progresses, the flowers mature to soft golden-brown, extending the display and adding attractive texture to borders and naturalistic planting schemes.
Hardy and easy to grow, 'Pixie Fountain' performs well in full sun or partial shade and rarely requires staking. Its compact, clump-forming habit makes it ideal for mixed borders, prairie-style planting, gravel gardens and containers.
