Daphne tangutica
Daphne tangutica is a compact, deciduous to semi-evergreen shrub prized for its highly fragrant flowers and attractive habit. Clusters of tubular pink flowers appear in late spring to early summer, often followed by a second flush later in the season, filling the air with a sweet scent.
Forming a neat, bushy shrub with soft green foliage, it is ideal for borders, rock gardens and containers, particularly where its fragrance can be enjoyed up close. Best grown in a sheltered position with well-drained, slightly alkaline soil, it is a rewarding choice for sunny or partially shaded gardens.
