Cotoneaster horizontalis is a low-growing deciduous shrub with a distinctive herringbone branching pattern, creating a dense, spreading carpet of glossy green foliage. In spring, the branches are smothered in masses of small pink-tinged white flowers that are highly attractive to bees and pollinators.
