Cornus controversa 'Variegata' is an elegant architectural tree, famously known as the Wedding Cake Tree due to its distinctive tiered, horizontal branching habit. The broad green leaves are beautifully edged with creamy white margins, creating a striking variegated effect that brightens the garden throughout the growing season.
In late spring and early summer, clusters of small creamy white flowers appear across the branches, later followed by blue-black berries that provide additional seasonal interest. As autumn arrives, the foliage takes on rich red-purple tones before falling.
