Clematis 'Ruby Celebration'
Clematis 'Ruby Celebration' is a distinctive early-flowering climber producing semi-double, nodding flowers in rich ruby to deep purplish-red shades. The unusual blooms feature long, pointed petals surrounding a contrasting paler centre, creating an elegant display against fresh green foliage.
Flowering from March to May, 'Ruby Celebration' brings valuable colour to walls, fences and garden structures early in the season. The flowers can be followed by attractive fluffy seed heads, providing additional decorative interest after flowering.
This attractive clematis is ideal for training over trellis, fences, arches and pergolas, and can also be allowed to grow through established shrubs. As a Pruning Group 2 clematis, it benefits from light pruning in late winter or early spring to remove dead or weak growth and encourage a healthy flowering framework.
