Clematis montana 'Elizabeth'
Clematis montana 'Elizabeth' is a vigorous deciduous climber valued for its abundant flush of soft, light pink flowers in late spring. The blooms are lightly fragrant, with four rounded petals, and cover the plant in a generous display from May to June. New foliage emerges with an attractive bronze tint before maturing to green, adding extra seasonal interest.
An early-season clematis (Pruning Group 1), ‘Elizabeth’ flowers on the previous year’s growth, producing a reliable and impressive show each spring. Ideal for covering walls, fences, pergolas or mature trees, it thrives in sun or partial shade and prefers moist but well-drained soil. Holder of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, it is a dependable and fast-growing choice for adding height, movement and early colour to the garden.
