Cistus × pulverulentus 'Sunset'
Cistus × pulverulentus 'Sunset' is a compact evergreen shrub renowned for its vibrant cerise pink flowers and exceptional tolerance of hot, dry conditions. During early and mid-summer, masses of large open blooms cover the plant, creating a dazzling display against the attractive grey-green foliage.
This dwarf variety forms a neat, spreading mound that is perfect for adding long-lasting colour and structure to sunny borders, gravel gardens and Mediterranean-style planting schemes. The vivid flowers provide excellent contrast and brighten the garden during the height of summer.
Easy to grow and requiring very little maintenance, 'Sunset' thrives in poor, free-draining soils and is particularly well suited to coastal locations where it tolerates dry conditions and salt-laden air with ease.
