Cistus creticus is a compact evergreen shrub valued for its vibrant pink flowers and excellent drought tolerance. In early to midsummer it produces masses of crinkled, rose-like blooms that stand out beautifully against the grey-green aromatic foliage.
This low-maintenance Mediterranean shrub thrives in sunny, sheltered positions with well-drained soil. Perfect for coastal gardens, gravel planting and dry borders, it provides bright seasonal colour while coping well with hot, dry conditions once established.
