Cedrus deodara
Cedrus deodara, known as the Deodar Cedar, is a majestic, fastgrowing evergreen conifer forming one central stem with a graceful, pendulous habit. Its long, soft, dark blue-green needles and upright brown cones clothe the sweeping branches, creating a cascading effect that gives this tree its distinctive elegance. Over time, it develops into a large, pyramidal specimen, bringing height, structure, and year-round presence to the landscape.
Native to the Himalayas, the Deodar Cedar is highly valued for its ornamental appeal and imposing form. Best planted as a specimen tree in spacious gardens or parkland, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Hardy and reliable, it provides architectural impact and a true sense of grandeur.
