Camellia reticulata 'Congratulations'
Camellia reticulata 'Congratulations' is a striking evergreen shrub admired for its large, ruffled blooms. From February to April (late winter into spring), it produces abundant semi-double to peony-form flowers in shades of soft pink with delicate veining, each bloom standing out beautifully against the glossy, deep green foliage. The foliage remains evergreen year-round, offering structure and contrast even when the plant is not in flower.
The early flowers attract pollinators during mild spells. This variety thrives in partial shade with protection from frost and direct sun, especially in colder climates. It performs best in acidic, moist but well-drained soil. A splendid choice for specimen planting, woodland garden edges, or large containers.
