Camellia japonica 'Mrs Swan' is an elegant evergreen shrub producing large, semi-double flowers in a beautiful salmon pink shade, each bloom highlighted by contrasting golden-yellow stamens. Flowering from late winter into spring, it brings welcome colour and structure to the garden at a time when little else is in bloom.
The glossy, dark green evergreen foliage provides year-round interest and makes an excellent backdrop for the showy blooms. Best grown in a sheltered position, protected from harsh winds and early morning sun, ‘Mrs Swan’ makes a superb specimen for borders, woodland gardens or large containers.
