Calluna vulgaris Garden Girls® 'Aurica'
Calluna vulgaris Garden Girls® 'Aurica' is a colourful evergreen heather combining bright white flower buds with golden-yellow foliage. From mid-September, dense buds cover its strong, upright shoots, creating a fresh autumn display. Generous side branching gives the plant a full, bushy appearance.
Part of the Garden Girls® NEXXT Classic Line, 'Aurica' is a bud-flowering variety whose buds remain closed, helping the colour last through autumn. Its white and gold combination brings brightness to patio pots, window boxes and hanging baskets. Smaller plants also blend beautifully with red or purple heathers, ornamental grasses and other seasonal favourites.
Hardy and easy to grow, 'Aurica' is ideal for heather beds, rockeries and sunny border edges. Plant in moist but well-drained acidic soil, using ericaceous compost for containers. Water regularly while establishing and keep pots from drying out completely. Light trimming in spring helps maintain its compact shape and encourages fresh growth.
