Calluna vulgaris Garden Girls® 'Amina'
Calluna vulgaris Garden Girls® 'Amina' is a compact evergreen heather producing a dense display of bright red flower buds from mid-September. Its strong, upright shoots and generous side branching create a full, bushy plant, bringing vivid autumn colour above finely textured green foliage.
Part of the Garden Girls® NEXXT Classic Line, 'Amina' is a bud-flowering variety whose colourful buds remain closed, helping the display last longer. Its rich red colouring is particularly effective in autumn pots, window boxes and hanging baskets, where smaller plants combine beautifully with ornamental grasses and other seasonal favourites.
Hardy and easy to grow, 'Amina' is also ideal for heather beds, rockeries and the front of sunny borders. Plant in moist but well-drained acidic soil, using ericaceous compost for containers. Water regularly while establishing and avoid allowing pots to dry out completely. Light trimming in spring helps maintain its neat shape.
