About this Mix
This premium soil mix uses a high proportion of non-porous materials to provide the sharp drainage cacti and succulents require. Sand and Grit allow water to pass quickly through the pot, preventing roots from sitting in moisture.
At the same time, Coco Coir, Pumice, and Lava Rock hold on to just enough water for plants to absorb before the mix rapidly dries, closely replicating the conditions these plants experience in nature.

Cacti and succulents thrive in soil that dries completely between waterings, but when it does rain in their natural habitat, it comes as a heavy downpour. This mix recreates that cycle—providing a thorough soak that drains quickly, leaving the soil dry within days.
To match their natural rhythm, we recommend watering every 2–3 weeks during summer, about once a month in spring and autumn, and not at all in winter.
