Bougainvillea ‘Alexandra’
Bougainvillea ‘Alexandra’ is a spectacular tropical climber covered in masses of vivid magenta-purple bracts that create an extraordinary long-lasting display of colour. The rich green glossy foliage provides the perfect backdrop for the vibrant blooms, giving this variety a classic Mediterranean feel ideal for sunny patios, conservatories and bright indoor spaces.
Trained onto a decorative hoop support, this stunning specimen creates instant impact and develops into a beautiful flowering feature throughout the warmer months. In bright warm conditions, Bougainvillea ‘Alexandra’ flowers repeatedly and brings bold tropical colour wherever it is displayed.

Bougainvillea Care Sheet
Light: Requires very bright light and benefits from several hours of direct sun daily. A south-facing window, greenhouse or conservatory is ideal.
Water: Water thoroughly during active growth, allowing the compost to dry slightly between waterings. Reduce watering significantly during winter.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a free-draining compost with added grit or perlite. Feed regularly during spring and summer with a high-potash fertiliser to encourage flowering.
Humidity: Enjoys warm temperatures and average household humidity. Protect from cold draughts and temperatures below 10°C.
Pruning and propagation: Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and encourage branching. Can be propagated from semi-ripe cuttings.
