Begonia 'Umbrella Hybrid'
Begonia 'Umbrella Hybrid' is a distinctive foliage begonia with broad, rounded leaves held centrally on their stems, creating an unusual umbrella-like appearance. The richly textured foliage develops a striking mix of deep green, olive, bronze and silvery tones, often finished with darker or burgundy edging.
Compact and highly decorative, 'Umbrella Hybrid' is particularly well suited to shelves, plant cabinets and terrarium-style displays where its unusual foliage can be appreciated up close. It prefers bright, indirect light, consistently warm conditions and good humidity, while strong direct sunlight should be avoided.

Begonia Care
Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal; avoid strong direct sunlight which can scorch the foliage
Water: Allow the top few centimetres of compost to dry slightly between waterings, keeping the growing medium lightly moist but never waterlogged
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity with good air circulation
Temperature: Keep warm, ideally between 16°C and 24°C, and protect from cold draughts
Feeding: Feed lightly with a balanced houseplant fertiliser during spring and summer
Care: Avoid regularly wetting the foliage and grow in an open, free-draining compost to help prevent excess moisture around the roots
