Begonia ‘Black Blood’
Begonia sp. ‘Black Blood’ is a dramatic collector begonia with intensely dark foliage and rich crimson undertones that create a bold rainforest aesthetic indoors. Begonia Care Sheet
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain strong leaf colour and healthy growth. Avoid direct sunlight which may scorch the foliage.
Water: Keep compost lightly moist, allowing the top layer to dry slightly between watering. Never leave sitting in excess water.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a free-draining houseplant compost with added bark or perlite for airflow. Feed monthly during spring and summer.
Humidity: Benefits from moderate to high humidity and appreciates a warm position away from cold draughts and radiators.
Pruning and propagation: Remove damaged or older leaves to encourage fresh growth. Can be propagated from leaf or stem cuttings.
