Begonia ‘Black Blood’
Begonia sp. ‘Black Blood’ is a dramatic collector begonia with intensely dark foliage and rich crimson undertones that create a bold rainforest aesthetic indoors. The near-black leaves have a softly velvety texture and deep burgundy colouring beneath, giving the plant exceptional depth and contrast.
Compact and richly coloured, this striking begonia is ideal for terrariums, plant cabinets and curated foliage displays where its moody tones can be fully appreciated. Its dark pigmentation and textured foliage make it a standout choice for collectors of unusual tropical plants.

Begonia Care Sheet
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain strong leaf colour and healthy growth. Avoid direct sunlight which may scorch the foliage.
Water: Keep compost lightly moist, allowing the top layer to dry slightly between watering. Never leave sitting in excess water.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a free-draining houseplant compost with added bark or perlite for airflow. Feed monthly during spring and summer.
Humidity: Benefits from moderate to high humidity and appreciates a warm position away from cold draughts and radiators.
Pruning and propagation: Remove damaged or older leaves to encourage fresh growth. Can be propagated from leaf or stem cuttings.
