Begonia ‘Alameo Ole’
Begonia ‘Alameo Ole’ is a spectacular cane-style begonia grown for its dramatic wing-shaped foliage heavily decorated with bright silver spotting. The large glossy green leaves are covered in metallic silver dots that create a striking contrast and give the plant a luminous, almost starry appearance.
Its elegant arching stems and bold tropical foliage make it a standout feature in indoor jungles, bright bathrooms or statement plant displays. As the plant matures, it develops a fuller upright habit with cascading leaves that bring movement and texture to a space.

Begonia Care Sheet
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid harsh direct sunlight which may scorch the foliage and fade the silver spotting.
Water: Water when the top few centimetres of compost begin to dry. Keep lightly moist but never waterlogged, especially during winter.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a loose, well-draining houseplant compost with added perlite or bark. Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser.
Humidity: Enjoys moderate to high humidity and warm temperatures. Ideal for kitchens, bathrooms or grouped with other tropical plants.
Pruning and propagation: Trim leggy stems to encourage bushier growth. Easy to propagate from stem cuttings placed in water or moist compost.
