Astrantia Sparkling Stars Series™ 'Star of Passion' ℗ is a compact, clump-forming perennial producing striking pincushion-style flowers in an intense deep red. The richly coloured blooms are held on slender stems above neat mounds of finely divided green foliage, creating a refined yet dramatic effect in the garden.
Flowering over a long period from early to late summer, this variety is ideal for adding structure, colour and continuity to borders, particularly in partially shaded positions. Thriving in moisture-retentive soil, it is highly attractive to bees and butterflies and also makes an excellent cut flower, with long-lasting blooms both fresh and dried.
