Astrantia major
Astrantia major is a graceful, clump-forming perennial producing delicate pincushion-like flowers surrounded by papery bracts in soft shades of white, pink, or green. The intricate blooms are held on slender stems above a mound of deeply lobed green foliage.
Flowering from early summer into autumn, this elegant species is ideal for cottage gardens, woodland planting, and naturalistic borders. Easy to grow and highly attractive to bees and other pollinators, it thrives in moist, well-drained soil in sun or partial shade.
