Aster novi-belgii 'Marie Ballard' is a reliable late-season perennial forming a neat, upright clump that produces abundant sprays of soft violet-blue double flowers. The daisy-like blooms appear from late summer into autumn, bringing valuable colour to borders as many other plants begin to fade.
Its compact habit makes it ideal for mixed borders, cottage gardens and cutting gardens, where the long stems are perfect for fresh arrangements. Highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinators, it is also a valuable plant for wildlife-friendly planting schemes.
