Alocasia 'Black Cobra'
Alocasia 'Black Cobra' is a striking tropical houseplant with large, glossy leaves in rich, near-black shades, highlighted by dramatic veining. Its bold foliage and upright, architectural growth habit make it a superb statement plant for contemporary indoor spaces.
Best positioned in bright, indirect light, 'Black Cobra' enjoys warm, humid conditions and evenly moist compost. During the warmer months it can also be used to create a dramatic tropical display on a sheltered patio, but should be brought indoors before temperatures begin to fall.

- Care: Keep the compost consistently moist but not waterlogged and provide good humidity
- Eventual height: Can grow up to 100cm with a spread of approximately 80cm

Alocasia Care
Light: Bright, indirect light; avoid strong direct sunlight
Water: Keep the compost lightly and consistently moist during active growth, allowing the surface to dry slightly between waterings
Humidity: Prefers high humidity and benefits from being kept away from dry air and radiators
Temperature: Keep warm, ideally above 18°C, and protect from cold draughts
Feeding: Feed regularly with a balanced houseplant fertiliser during spring and summer
Winter care: Reduce watering during winter; Alocasia may naturally become dormant and lose leaves before producing fresh growth
