Actaea ‘Black Negligee’
Actaea ‘Black Negligee’ is a striking perennial grown for its finely cut, near-black foliage that creates dramatic contrast in shaded garden settings. The elegant, lacy leaves cloak dark stems, providing season-long interest even before flowering begins.
In late summer to early autumn, tall spires of purple-tinted white flowers rise above the foliage, releasing a distinctive fragrance reminiscent of grape and jasmine. Ideal for woodland borders or shaded areas, it performs best in moist, fertile soil and adds height and structure to planting schemes.
