Achillea × kellereri
Achillea × kellereri is a compact, mat-forming alpine perennial valued for its finely divided, silvery grey-green foliage. Its neat, spreading habit creates a soft-textured carpet that remains attractive for much of the year.
In early summer, short stems carry flattened clusters of small white flowers above the aromatic foliage. The blooms are useful to bees and other pollinating insects, while the low growth makes this plant especially effective at the front of sunny borders.
Best grown in full sun and sharply drained soil, this drought-tolerant yarrow is ideal for rockeries, gravel gardens, raised beds and alpine containers. Avoid waterlogged conditions, particularly during winter.
