Acer palmatum 'Ukigumo' is an elegant and ethereal Japanese maple, prized for its delicate, variegated foliage. Meaning “floating clouds”, this distinctive variety produces soft green leaves beautifully speckled and marbled with white and soft pink, particularly striking in spring.
As the season progresses, the colouring subtly shifts, with some leaves developing a translucent, cloud-like effect.
