Acer palmatum 'Hime-shojo'
Acer 'Hime-shojo' is a compact Japanese maple prized for its intense red foliage and finely textured, elegant form. Small, deeply divided leaves emerge bright scarlet in spring, gradually maturing to rich burgundy through summer before turning a vivid crimson in autumn.
With a naturally dense, bushy habit, this slow-growing variety is ideal for containers, rockeries, and smaller garden spaces. It makes an excellent focal point, bringing season-long colour and structure to sheltered positions in sun or partial shade.
