Calathea warscewiczii
Calathea warscewiczii is a striking Prayer Plant with velvety, lance-shaped leaves marked by deep green chevrons and contrasting pale green veins. The undersides are a rich burgundy, adding extra drama and elegance. Its bold foliage and graceful habit make it a standout feature in any indoor plant collection. Large leaves mean this is an excellent air purifying plant.
This tropical beauty thrives in warm, humid rooms such as bathrooms or kitchens, where its colours remain rich and vibrant. Over time, it forms a lush clump of foliage that moves gently with the daily rhythm of light, creating a dynamic and decorative display.

Calathea Care Sheet
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can fade or scorch leaves.
Water: Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Use filtered or rainwater where possible.
Soil/Nutrition: Use a rich, free-draining compost. Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer with diluted fertiliser.
Humidity: Requires high humidity. Mist regularly, use a pebble tray, or keep near a humidifier.
Pruning & Propagation: Remove old or damaged leaves at the base. Propagation is usually by division in spring.
