Wisteria frutescens 'Amethyst Falls' is a beautiful, more compact twining vine, ideal for smaller gardens and spaces where traditional Asian wisteria may be too vigorous. Growing at around a third of the rate of its larger relatives, it offers elegant impact without overwhelming its support.
Grafted to encourage flowering from a young age, it produces lightly fragrant, compact purple racemes in May and June that hang gracefully from the stems. Perfect for training over an arbor or trellis, growing in a large patio container, or shaping into a small standard, this easy-to-grow variety brings reliable colour and charm to porches and sunny walls.
