Wisteria brachybotrys 'Showa-beni' is a beautiful deciduous climber prized for its exceptionally large, fragrant pink flowers borne in short, dense racemes during spring. One of the earliest and most impressive pink-flowered wisterias, it produces abundant blooms that fill the garden with fragrance and attract pollinators.

Flowering from April to May, the large pink-mauve and white pea-like flowers are carried in thick clusters measuring 15-25cm long.
