Viburnum opulus 'Roseum'
Viburnum opulus 'Roseum', also known as Viburnum opulus 'Sterile' or the Snowball Tree, is a classic deciduous shrub with spectacular globe-shaped flowers. In late spring to early summer, it produces large, showy balls of greenish-white blooms that mature to pure white, resembling snowballs hanging from the branches. Unlike the species, these flowers are sterile and do not produce berries, making them purely ornamental. In autumn, the shrub offers a fiery display of red and orange foliage, extending seasonal interest. Easy to grow and reliable, it has been awarded the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM), a mark of quality and outstanding garden performance.
