Verbena hastata 'Rosea'
Verbena hastata 'Rosea' is an elegant, upright herbaceous perennial valued for its long flowering season and distinctive architectural form. Tall, slender stems carry branching candelabras of narrow flower spikes covered in masses of tiny clear pink flowers from early summer well into autumn.
Flowering from June through to October, 'Rosea' is excellent for adding height and movement to mixed and herbaceous borders without creating a heavy appearance. The flowers are attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects, making it particularly useful in wildlife-friendly and naturalistic planting schemes.
Hardy, long-lived and drought tolerant once established, this Verbena performs best in full sun and well-drained soil. Its upright habit works particularly well among grasses and other flowering perennials, where the airy flower spikes can rise above surrounding planting.
