Verbena bonariensis 'Meteor Shower'
Verbena bonariensis 'Meteor Shower' is a refined and more compact form of the much-loved Argentinian Vervain. Producing masses of airy lilac-purple flower clusters above slender stems and deep green foliage, it delivers the same graceful appearance as traditional Verbena bonariensis but with a tidier, more manageable habit.
Flowering continuously over a long season, the delicate blooms appear to float above neighbouring plants, creating movement and colour throughout borders and naturalistic planting schemes. Its compact stature makes it ideal for smaller gardens, patio containers and the middle of mixed perennial borders.
Highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects, 'Meteor Shower' is easy to grow and drought tolerant once established. Its combination of long-lasting flowers, wildlife value and excellent garden performance has earned it the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit.
