Taxus baccata 'David'
Taxus 'David', the Golden Irish Yew, is an elegant evergreen conifer with a dense, upright columnar habit. Its green needles are attractively margined with golden yellow, creating a bright, finely textured appearance throughout the year.
The fresh spring growth displays its strongest golden colouring before deepening to rich green with warm yellow highlights. Its narrow, naturally tidy shape adds valuable height and structure without taking up excessive ground space.
Ideal for formal borders, rockeries, hedging, screening, containers and specimen planting, this hardy yew thrives in full sun or partial shade. It adapts to most well-drained soils, including chalk, and can be lightly trimmed to maintain its shape.
