About this Mix
This premium Syngonium Soil Mix has been created to suit the medium-to-small root systems of Syngonium plants. It combines porous and non-porous materials to provide both fast drainage and reliable moisture retention.
High levels of Coco Coir and Bark help keep roots hydrated, while non-porous Grit balances the blend by ensuring areas of the mix dry evenly. This prevents waterlogging while maintaining a stable, lightly moist environment that Syngonium thrive in. Similar to our Monstera and Philodendron mixes, this blend uses a finer aggregate grade for perfect root contact.
Why this Soil is Perfect for Syngonium
Syngonium are hemiepiphytes that prefer mild moisture, organic matter, and plenty of small to medium air chambers within their substrate. The Bark content mimics their natural growing environment, while Coco Coir provides sustained hydration. Grit ensures protection against overwatering, which is a common issue for Syngonium, allowing the soil to dry in stages without stressing the plant.
For best results, water little and often—keeping the soil lightly moist but never saturated. If watering heavily, allow the mix to dry out fully before the next soak.
As with all of our premium Soil Ninja blends, this mix includes beneficial bacteria, mycelium, and microfauna to maintain a healthy potted ecosystem. Each bag also contains nutrients to support growth for the first two months, with Zeolite added to store and release nutrients over time.
