Lathyrus odoratus 'Matucana'
Lathyrus odoratus 'Matucana' is a much-loved heritage sweet pea, prized for its rich, bi-coloured blooms of deep maroon and violet-purple. Flowering freely through summer, it combines striking colour with one of the most powerful and traditional sweet pea fragrances.
Climbing vigorously and producing long stems ideal for cutting, ‘Matucana’ is perfect for training up obelisks, trellis or garden arches. Regular picking encourages more blooms, ensuring a continuous display and plenty of scented flowers to enjoy indoors.
