Skimmia japonica Gold Series® 'Passion'®
Skimmia japonica 'Passion'® is a compact female variety of Skimmia with glossy evergreen foliage and excellent seasonal interest. In spring, it produces panicles of small, fragrant white flowers that are highly attractive to bees and butterflies. When pollinated by a male Skimmia, such as Skimmia japonica 'Rubella' or 'Marlot', these are followed by clusters of shiny red berries which last well into winter, providing months of vibrant colour.
This hardy, low-maintenance shrub thrives in full or partial shade, making it perfect for containers, shaded patios, or mixed borders where other plants may struggle. With its year-round evergreen presence, scented flowers, and showy berries, ‘Passion’® is a reliable choice for brightening the garden across multiple seasons.
