Siderasis fuscata
Siderasis fuscata is an unusual foliage houseplant with broad, glossy green leaves covered in fine hairs and backed by rich reddish-purple undersides. Its low, spreading rosettes and softly textured foliage give it a distinctive appearance, making it an attractive choice for collectors and lovers of unusual indoor plants.
Perfect for shelves, side tables, or grouped tropical displays, it performs best in bright, indirect light where its deep colouring can be appreciated. Its compact habit makes it well suited to smaller spaces, while its bold leaves add rich texture and contrast to indoor plant collections.

Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Avoid strong direct sunlight which may scorch the leaves
Water: Keep the compost lightly moist during active growth, allowing the surface to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid leaving the plant standing in water
Soil/Nutrition: Use a free-draining houseplant compost with added perlite. Feed lightly during spring and summer
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity but avoid allowing water to sit on the hairy leaves
Pruning and propagation: Remove old or damaged leaves at the base. Propagate by division or from rooted offsets
